Where is life
taking you?

Free ride and drive

Step 1 of 5

What is the trip?

Pick something you already have to do today. That is the test drive.

Step 2 of 5

Where should
we meet you?

Take a Tengo Stops are staffed pickup points. Or we come to your door.

Step 3 of 5

When suits you?

Ninety minutes door to door. Most people use a lunch hour.

Step 4 of 5

Who is coming?

The boot and the back seat are half the reason people buy this car. Bring the load.

Step 5 of 5

Two quick things

You are driving a Volkswagen on a public road, so these go on record.

Decline the camera and everything else works exactly the same.

Booked

Your Tengo
is coming.

Reminder the day before and an hour out. Your host messages you when they set off.

Host on the way

Nine minutes out.

Naledi checks your licence, walks you round the car, then hands you the key. She rides along. You drive.

Drive in progress

Put the phone down.
Go and do your thing.

We will be here when you get back. The camera is running so you do not have to think about it.

This screen deliberately does nothing. Nothing on it is worth a glance at 60km/h.

Your film is ready

That is what it looks
like in your life.

Shared

And that is the
next booking.

Every film carries the provincial badge of where it was driven, and a link that opens this journey for whoever watches it.

Concept prototype

Take a Tengo booking journey, built for the slide 30 QR. Not a Volkswagen product and not connected to any live system. Every screen here is one Volkswagen Group Africa would have to sign off, which is the point of showing it.

All artwork is Matt's, lifted from the deck: the nine provincial badges, the nine background patterns, the campaign icons and the vehicle. Change the city and the whole app rethemes to that province, which is slide 23 and 27 working rather than described.

The home screen leads on availability, not proximity. With 120 cars touring ten cities in scheduled windows, most people opening this on a given day are somewhere nothing is happening.

Harold is on here twice, in different places. Find him.
